The project

5 Sycamore Street is a eight-storey office building that will replace a 1988 block, once home to stable buildings. The proposed scheme will see the reconstruction and enlargement of the present building without dramatically impacting the appearance of the surrounding area.

Our work

The photomontages accurately convey all the main features of the new high quality and contemporary design whilst showing how the proposed massing of the building relates to its surroundings.

The large structural bays created by the pronounced brick piers, which masonry technique recalls the surrounding buildings, the hierarchy of levels, enhanced by the upper copper/brass cladding and the street frontage, with its large windows, all respond to the site's constraints and the local context.
