The Project

The Vega Tower, as part of the Vega Student Living project, is a significant development designed by TP Bennett Architects, located on the South Bank in Vauxhall, London. This project, completed for the client Downing Students, aimed at increasing the student residential capacity in South London. It includes a striking 37-storey student tower that offers 841 student rooms, with a variety of configurations like studios, three-bed 'threedios', and en-suite rooms in five, six, and seven-bedroom clusters. The tower features a ground-floor café and reception area, along with a sky garden.

Additionally, this development includes a six-storey office block, designed as the commercial complement to the student tower. This building provides 3,583 square meters of sustainable space, featuring flexible office space and outdoor areas, including a games area on the roof. The project also incorporates a public sports facility for both tenants and the wider community. The entire development, completed in 2021 with a budget of £250 million, has now become an integral part of the urban fabric of the area.

On the ground floor, the new café and open garden create an active and welcoming frontage and plaza.
